Our latest design has enhancements for the highest security. All our safe deposit lockers are made in Sweden and so must be tested and certified by SSF in accordance with SSF 1048-2. The current BF4 standard exceeds this rather tough standard and not many safety deposit locker facilities can boast that they pass this test.
The locker door is made from a high grade Aluminium. This makes them both attractive and robust. We are today working with fifth generation electronic management systems for lockers. They are accessed through an interface where customers are identified by a contactless proximity card and personal fingerprint.
Each lock is electronically activated upon the locker account holder’s fingerprint being read. Only then can the final lock be opened by the appropriate unique key. The consequence of this is that anyone legitimately gaining access to the vault can only open their own locker and no-one else’s even if they have obtained the key to another person’s locker by whatever means.
Each set of keys for each locker is unique and comes in a sealed packet and will be presented to the customer when opening their account on the first visit. Each account holder will be issued with both keys. Copies cannot be made and are not held anywhere else.
Loss of keys would result in a request for drilling the lock by a specialist lock smith in the customer’s presence and this of course would impact upon the deposit money held. The lock can only be changed by either drilling or by inserting one of the remaining keys and inserting a special tool at the back of the locker door to take out the lock for replacement all of this can only be done in front of the locker account holder.
We are so confident of our security that we are including contents insurance as standard in our annual prices as shown above.
